Jazz vocalist Sarah L King makes her debut at Ashtead Jazz Club!

Fusing soulful jazz with a singer-songwriter sensibility, Sarah L King is a clear-toned vocalist with a groove-led sound, blending neo-soul, funk and jazz. With impeccable phrasing and rhythm, she is a natural storyteller, effortlessly conveying feel and emotion.

Her acclaimed original albums Fire Horse (2024) and The Light Ahead (2026), both produced by Claire Martin OBE (ECN Music), feature regularly on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio London and Jazz FM.

Founded in July 2012, Ashtead Jazz Club has played host to some of the world’s finest jazz names, including Scott Hamilton, Beth Rowley, Polly Gibbons and Sara Spade. We’ve played host to Raul D’Oliveira’s mesmeric version of ‘Georgia On My Mind’, Georgie Talbot and Pete Godden’s tap dance during ‘Let’s Face The Music and Dance’, Andy Cooper’s raucous ‘It Ain’t What You Do’, and so, so many more brilliant moments.

After we opened the year with a bang with a sensational ‘Night At The Movies’, 2020 didn’t quite go as we’d planned. However, our reopening in September 2021 was so very special and we can’t wait to welcome you back again at our next gig.
